The Alito Collection Breaks New Ground in Technology and Elegance
The innovative new Alito Collection, combines the best of modern precision with old-world craftsmanship. Currently, Alito consists of two distinct collections, the “Firenze” flower collection, and the “Roma” round collection, both produced in Israel under the supervision of the company’s Italian designers, who have perfected the unique setting technique used in these pieces.
The diamond flower design represents the first-time application of a setting process so revolutionary that it is protected by a U.S. patent. The diamond flower is created by setting seven round brilliant diamonds so precisely that they create the look of one large diamond.
This product process involves the use of a C&C computer program that calculates with precise measurements the height and width of the finished piece, the depth, table size and girdle thickness of all the diamonds that will be used. The computer then draws the blueprint that will be used to create the model in plastic. This level of precision is used to guard against gaps in the surface of the finished piece.
The merging of technology and craftsmanship makes the line so extraordinary. Each diamond is hand set into a casting with a revolutionary process that allows the diamonds to be set from underneath. The diamonds are notched at three discreet points, allowing the metal to flow in and lock the diamonds into place without destroying the brilliance of the stones. This process of invisibly setting diamonds eliminates any shifting of the stones.
